EBRD Energy Efficiency Awards
The second edition of the EBRD energy efficiency and renewable energy awards will take place on 10 November 2010 from 09:30 to 13:00 at Alexander’s Hall of the Radisson Blu Grand Hotel in Sofia.
Тhe best among all private industrial borrowers under the Bulgarian Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Credit Line (BEERECL) and the European Union Energy Efficiency Finance Facility (EU/EBRD EEFF) that have achieved outstanding energy savings, emission reductions and the best green energy project will be rewarded.
nternational jury will select the winners among all nominees in the following categories.
- Category 1: Energy efficiency measures with best economic impact (per unit of investment)
- Category 2: Energy efficiency measures with best environmental impact (ecological impact per unit of investment)
- Category 3: Best renewable energy project

01 October, 2009: Presentation on meeting of BCIBPCB
On 1 October 2009, in the Expo Center – Sofia a meeting was held by the Board of The Branch Chamber of Industrial Bread Producers and Confectioner in Bulgaria (BCIBPCB). Ph. D. Plamen Gramatikov, Deputy Project Manager for Bulgaria of European Union Energy Efficiency Finance Facility (EUEEFF) managed by EnCon Services under the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), was invited to speak about the facility. Mr. Gramatikov gave a short presentation to the members of BCIBPCB about opportunities for improving energy efficiency in private industrial enterprises and incentives grants provided by the EUEEFF. After the presentation he answered many questions. Members of BCIBPCB were invited to participate in the upcoming free informational seminar on "Bulgarian EBRD Energy Efficiency Credit Lines” that will be held on 9 October 2009 in the resort “St. St. Constantine and Elena" near Varna.

EU/EBRD Energy Efficiency Finance Facility and the Bulgarian Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Credit Line (BEERECL)
Encon Services in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Stara Zagora is organising a seminar presenting the EBRD Credit Lines for energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.
The seminar will be held on 27 January 2009 (Tuesday) from 10 a.m to 3.30 p.m. at Hall 2 of Merian Palace Hotel in Stara Zagora.

EBRD Energy Efficiency Awards
The first edition of the EBRD annual energy efficiency excellence awards ceremony in Bulgaria took place on 25 November 2008 at the Royal Hall of the Sheraton Hotel. The energy efficiency awards were given to the companies which made best use of the funds received under the EBRD sustainable energy credit lines - BEERECL and EUEEFF for investments in energy savings and environmental protection.
The award winners were selected by the international jury among all nominees in the following three categories:
- Category 1: Most effective improvement in energy efficiency. The winner in category 1 is Khan Asparuh JSC
- Category 2: Successful implementation of energy efficiency measures. The winner in category 2 is Orgachim JSC
- Category 3: Achievements in energy efficiency in the SME sector The winner in category 3 is Medica JSC
